The camp is around 500km from Johannesburg - approximately a 6 hour drive.

Chartered flights

Chartered flights land at the tarred, Kings Camp/Tanda Tula airstrip,

GPS co-ordinates: S 024° 17' 824" x E 031° 17' 197".

The runway is 1000m in length.
Landing fees are payable and permission must be

obtained first!

The camp is 5km from the Timbavati Private Nature

Reserve control gate.

THE SEASONS

Winter: June to August

Daily temperatures range from + 4 to 26 °C (40 to 80 °F) with little or no rain. Warm clothing is required for game drives.

Spring: September

Temperatures can be unpredictable, ranging between 4 and 32 °C (40 to 90 °F). Warm clothing is advisable for early morning and evening activities.

Summer: October to March

Rains generally start in November or December and days are humid. Temperatures range between 15 and 40 °C (60 to 105 °F).

Autumn: April to May

Small chance of rain. Night and day temperatures range from 15 to 32 °C (60 to 90 °F).
